2012-2013 Kindergarten Visitations are scheduled for: (adults only please)

Registration packets will be handed out at the school visitations. If you visit several schools, you only need one packet – all contain the same information. Thank you for helping save paper by requesting only one.
Any questions you may have regarding kindergarten or the registration forms will be answered at this time.
Kindergarten registration is scheduled at the eight Del Mar school offices: Wednesday, March 28, 2012 1:00-6:00 p.m.
Senate Bill (SB) 1381, the Kindergarten Readiness Act, was signed into law by Governor Schwarzenegger on September 30, 2010. This law changes the age a student must be to enroll in kindergarten and is being implemented incrementally by school year as follows:
When registering students, parents will be asked to complete a registration packet and provide proof of residence, proof of student immunization and (when enrolling for Kindergarten or Grade 1) proof of the student's age.
In addition, the DMUSD complies with state-mandated health requirements for school entry. For a complete list of required health documentation for registration, see Health Requirements. To be eligible for enrollment students must be 5 on or before December 2 of the current year and must currently be residing in the Del Mar School District. Families in the process of moving to the school district may register their students once their residency in the DMUSD is established.
Prior to Kindergarten registration in the Spring, schools invite potential kindergarten parents (adults only) to Kindergarten Visitation to give parents an opportunity to observe the school program, pick up registration materials, meet the principal, and ask any questions they may have.
