Site Council


The Sycamore Ridge School Site Council meets four times throughout the school year .   The Council has many responsibilities that include:

• obtaining recommendations from all school advisory committees

• developing and approving the Single Plan for Student Achievement in accordance with state and federal laws and regulations

• recommending the plan and expenditures to the governing board for approval

• providing ongoing review of implementation of the plan with the principal, teachers, and other staff members

• modifying the plan when the need arises

• evaluating the progress made toward school goals aimed at raising the academic achievement of all students

• carrying out other duties assigned to the council by the district governing board and by state law
